I made view C with the peplum style bottom. I serged all the seams, added clear elastic to the shoulder seams, Steam-A-Seam 2 to the bottom hem and the sleeve hem & used a walking foot on my machine. I could have finished the cardigan in about 2 hours if life didn't get in the way!

I love knit cardigans too. Yours looks great on you with the black top.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind comment. I'm afraid everyone will get tired of seeing me sew this cardigan. But I love it!
DeleteAnother great cardigan! You are inspiring me to start fall sewing!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Fall here in Florida last for a week or so, but that doesn't mean I can't sew for it! LOL! Winter sewing scares me the most. Because it's cold then hot, you have to layer your clothing. I just owned something in wool two years ago! (I've worn it twice!). No thank you, give me fall sewing!
DeleteYou look beautiful Bonnie! You've nailed sewing ITY garments - they turn out so well. I look forward to each of your blog posts. I've recently had two waders but I'll never improve if I don't try and try again. I wish we had some good garment sewing classes in my area.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments. Me pictures are the hardest for me to add. I just pick the best of the worse and go with it! I wish we had sewing classes in my area too. We have one that meets one day a month in a smokey, VFW hall. No way am I bringing my stuff into that. My best taught lessons are from Peggy Sagers at Silhouette Patters, with the Fit 2 Stitch series and also a little bit from Nancy Zieman. I do a lot of Youtube videos from both of them, it helps. Two waders? You're ready for something terrific now that you got them out of your system! Stay positive & keep sewing! I would love to see something you sew!
DeleteI love non-traditional cardigans and your version is lovely. That's the beauty of sewing -- one pattern but so many variations.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I can say they are all originals!
DeleteLove all of these. You look wonderful in this style too! Keep em comin'! And the pictures are fine.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments. It's a style that seems to work for my curves!
DeleteYou are on a role with hiur color choices, pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
