Grainline Studio Morris Blazer

I'm not a fan of PDF pattern but I liked this pattern enough to tough it out.  My attention span is so short somedays that it took me two days on this super easy pattern.   The directions are well written and the pattern notches match up.  I did lengthened the pattern by 2" as per previous reviewers suggested.  I also had to shortened the shoulder length by 1".

I used a black ponte knit fabric.  My machine didn't give me a fit this time and the jacket sewed up easily.

Front
I cut the fabric on the fold, eliminating the center back seam.  I may need to re-consider next time to to a sway back adjustment.

$9.58 Blazer
I give this blazer an A+.  I really like the fit of the blazer and I think it will be a wardrobe staple.

I'm thinking a gray version and maybe also a pink faux leather one too!

I'm off to sew something great!

Until next time............

  3. Love this pattern. Have it in my stash, even bought the fabric but haven't sewn it yet. Heading for Zephyrhills in a couple of weeks. Any suggestions for fabric stores that are worth the visit. Cheryl minniestitches@cogeco.ca
