Simplicity 8841 Green Linen Crop Pants

I am thinking that the Simplicity 8841 is going to be a TNT pants pattern for me.  I made this version in a Muted Pea Green Rayon/Linen/Lycra Bottom Weight Woven-NY Designer from FabricMartFabrics.com.

I would never wear my shirt tucked into my pants out in public.  I love the feel of this fabric and the fit is almost perfect.  Now just to leave the house so I can wear these!

McCall's 6473 Strawberry Scrub Top

I made Girl M. another McCall's 6473 scrub top from a cotton that has been in my stash forever.  I wan't sure she would like the print but surprisingly she loved it.  Easy sew and a happy girl!

Girl M. loves the elastic in the back of the top.  Gives her shapeless scrub tops a little better fit.  Makes her look curvy!

Girl M. received so much love from Family, Friends & our Church Family for her Graduation.  There were so many cards that it starting feeling like a game of Jenga stacking them on the table.  She was truly in awe with all the cards, money, gifts & love from everyone.

Graduation Love
Our Church has a Christian School and there were two young men who were graduating this year.  Girl M attended public school but they included her in their ceremony.  Our Pastor presented Girl M. with a beautiful leather bound Bible and our Associate Pastor said a beautiful prayer.

Church graduates
I know they didn't have to include her in their ceremony but so Thankful she was recognized for Graduating.  We are so proud of all three of them!

Love Notions Vivace Top Turquoise Floral Print

Ok so I made another version of the Love Notions Vivace Dolman Top.  I took in 3/8" from the underarm to the hips.  I lengthened the bodice by 3" & made the bottom hem 1-1/2". I added hem bands to the sleeves from the Butterick 6567 pattern (The SAD dress).   The fabric was a little tricky to work with being so thin but I made it work.  This Rayon Challis has been in my stash for years and I'm glad I finally used it.

Love Notions Vivace Dolman Top Muslin

Since I loved the Love Notions Pattern Rhapsody Top I thought I would give the Vivace Dolman Top a try.  I turned out nice.  I think I had such high hopes after ALL my Rhapsodies that I felt a little disappointed with this pattern.  Was it my sewing?  or my fabric choice?  I'm not sure but I'm glad Girl M thought I made her another scrub top!  At least it's wearable and I have some ideas for another version but I'm not sure.

Love Notions Rhapsody Dress Hack Turquoise Linen

I sure hope you're not tired of seeing the Rhapsody dresses.  I just love how comfortable they are.  This is a true "lounging by the pool" look dress.  It's so airy and comfortable.

I did the usual hacks and used the bias trim for the neckline and the armholes.  No ties again, they get in the way when working around the house.  I lengthened the dress 1" & raised the Armhole 1/2".

Can you really have too many Rhapsody Dresses?

Love Notions Duet Trouser Ponte Knit Pants

Girl M wanted some scrub type pants in knit for work.  The woven ones were ok but she thought that knit pants would be more comfortable and allow her more movement while working.  The Love Notions Duet Trousers were on sale at the perfect time so why not try to make them in a ponte knit?

She loved the pants and the fit was great!  Only a quick photo since she was leaving for work.

She liked the yoga style waistband and thought the pockets were ok.  Not too bad for a trial pair.  They are wearable and she liked the color too.

I'm trying to use up some of my stash fabric.  Brown ponte knit is next in line to cut.

I added the pockets from Simplicity 8841 to this pair.  Girl M likes them much better.  She preferred deeper pockets for all her stuff she carries at work. (gloves, garbage bags & masks!)

Girl M. also asked for the pants to be longer.  I ended up adding 2" in length.

I had to go back into the waistband and add elastic to help hold the pants up after a long shift for Girl M.  Easy fix and now these are her favorite work pants.

Love Notions Rhapsody Dress Pink Stripe Seersucker

I needed more around the house & pool dresses for Summer.  Girl M said that my usual wears were too big and looked like sacks on me.  What's a Mom to do except sew up a few more new favorite?!

Another Love Notions Rhapsody Dress hacked again.  Sleeveless, bias binding armholes & neck, no ties, lengthened 2" more than the green striped version.  Easy sew and so comfy.

Could this one be my favorite?  I'm sure so I'll keep making more just to make sure!

Love Notion Rhapsody Dress Pink & White

I had a few yards of the floral burnout fabric leftover from making the Rhapsody dress earlier and thought of using it but lining the dress as I went.  I could not decide blue or hot pink.  I really liked them both.

Blue?

Hot Pink
The hot pink color won!  I think the dress turned out great and I can't wait to wear it somewhere!

I cut out all the pattern pieces twice, and treated them as one since they were thin.  I made this version sleeveless, without the neck ties.  Just a simple summer dress.

Love Notions Rhapsody Blouse Tie Dye Challis

What do you wear with a pair of wearable muslin orange crop pants?  Whatever you want!

I thought that another Love Notions Rhapsody blouse in a sleeveless tank style version would be perfect.  I miss wearing orange and this top and pants combo fixed that!

Love Notions Rhapsody Blouse Tie Dye Challis
I believe this fabric is a challis puchased from FabricMartFabrics.com.  I seemed to have lost the fabric tag.....I think I made Girl M. a top out of this fabric, same pattern, longer sleeves.  I will have to go find it now that I'm thinking about it.  I think that after making it, she took it right away!

I eliminated the neck bias ties and scooped the v neckline a little more.  I used self bias binding for the armholes.  I'm really liking making bias binding right now.  It's kinda therapeutic.  Using/making what I have in my stash.

The fabric was great to work with.  It pressed great and doesn't wrinkle too bad.  It's light and has a nice hand to it too.
