2017 Annual Sewing Review

Looking back over my blog postings this past year I realized how many items I've sewn. I have been a busy bee even though I've had to nurse Dear Hubby and I did a little home re-decorating in between.

Overall I am very impressed with ALL that I've sewn this past year.  I've learned so much and I have so much still to learn.

I have about a 75% success/keeper rate.  That's not too bad.

Here's to a New Year and new sewing adventures.

Until next time..................

  1. Could any of the "too big" garments be taken in? Understand if too much trouble or not worth it. Been there, done that.

    1. I've altered a few items to work until... but somethings are just too much work to alter. It's a good reason to sew up something "new"!

  2. Oh my, thank you, I am so glad you did this post. I always wonder if EVERYTHING everyone else makes is successful and how the heck do they do that. Things are always shown hot off the presses but the wearability is usually not spoken of later. Then again, a lot of yours is from your weight loss...Congrats!
I have lost 25 lbs since Aug. and am taking in what I can. I dont really want to do all new clothes in this size as I have another 50lbs in the game plan for 2018. I love to sew but don't like to do anything that results in a wasted effort of time and money.
In 2018 I wish you all the weight loss and sewing that you desire. Happy New Year.

    1. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I'm glad I did this post just to see how many items I created and how many I actually wear. I'm pretty impressed with my %!

Here's to a healthy New Year and to both of us loosing all that unwanted extra lbs! I'm hoping for 40lbs in 2018! Keep me posted on your progress.
