I recently saw Maven Pattern has a new pattern release and the Ludo Capelet pattern seemed to call to me. I liked the simple clean lines of the capelet. I had a million versions made up in my mind!

The Floral Brocade fabric has been in my stash for years waiting for the perfect pattern. So happy that I found a happy marriage with the fabric and pattern. I am thinking of using a broach/pin for the neck but unsure of which one since I have no idea what dress I'm wearing!

Of course I had to sew something for Dear Hubby too. I started with the Simplicity 6694 Men's Tie. Easy sew but lots of hand sewing. I made a 12" pocket square. Then I had fabric left over so I sewed him the Simplicity 9345 Men's Vest. I am in Love with this!
