Love Notions Metra Blazer

I had another idea for another Love Notion's Metra blazer.  I had a piece of this ponte knit fabric in my stash for a while and thought it would make a great jacket.  I sewed a size large this time to allow a little more ease.  The Metra blazer is such a quick sew and looks so classy.

McCall’s 7831 Denim Jumper

 I thought a little denim jumper would be a nice make for Summertime. I had the McCall 7831 pattern in my stash and a 2 yard  piece of denim fabric.  The jumper was an easy sew with only a few pieces.  I lengthen the skirt 6”.

Love Notions Aurora Dress

 I enjoyed being a tester for the Love Notions Pattern Aurora dress.  The dress is a very flattering modern  styled dress with hidden pockets and diagonal waist seams.  There are so many possibilities with this pattern.  You can make it sporty or classic.  The soft v-neck is just the perfect plunge, not too low and the choice of sleeve lengths is very nice too.

I used a jacquard double knit fabric for my version.  The print does hide the design lines but the fit is A+!  I lengthened my version 2" to have it hit at my knee.  I also had to grade up sizes for my hips.

Ellie & Mac Tres Belle Wrap Dress Roses

 Another dress from the Ellie & Mac Tres Belle Wrap Dress.  I had this rose print ITY knit fabric for years.  Because it was very thin I self lined the bodice and eliminated the band.  I also added a flutter style sleeve.  I made the circle skirt version and self fabric tie.  I like the neck band version better because it helps snug up the wrap.

I had to make a modesty panel because the wrap left me very exposed while sitting. Lesson learned…follow the pattern!

Ellie & Mac Tres Belle Wrap Dress

 I sewed a muslin of the Ellie & Mac Tres Belle Wrap Dress in a piece of crepe knit fabric from my stash thinking it would be a test run.  The bodice turned out so nice and the fit was A+ perfect so I found a piece of black knit to to make a circle skirt.  What a great pattern!  Easy to sew, fit was perfect too!

Love Notions Metra Blazer

 I do not know why I waited so long to sew up the Love Notions Metra Blazer.  It was such an easy sew with only a few pieces.  The pattern sewed together quickly and looks very classy.  I used a piece of poly/lycra geometric ponte knit fabric in my stash from Fabric Mart Fabrics.  I sewed a MEDIUM!  I've never been a medium in my entire adult life!  It does have a slimmer fit and a Large would be just fine too.
