Love Notions Pattern Blue Woven Presto Tunic

 Loving Love Notions Patterns lately I thought I would give a woven top a try.  I went by the size chart and chose the size Large.  Sometimes it's still hard to believe I'm a large.  I was sure either the hips or the sleeves wouldn't fit but all turned out good.  I evened the back hem to match the front because I don't car for high/low hems.  

I used a cotton/poly/spandex fabric for this trial run.  Everything was good but I usually don't wear solid color tops.  Maybe it's the color or the style but it reminds me of a scrub top.

Little Lizard King Cannes Dress Yellow & Tropical Floral Jersey Knit

Of course I had to make Girl M a Cannes dress.  My Mom gave me a yard of this floral print jersey knit fabric.  Other than a tank top I could think of what to use this fabric for.  But the Little Lizard King Cannes dress was perfect!

Girl M. loved the dress but she's working a lot more hours now and it's late when she gets home so no photo of her twirling in the dress!

Little Lizard King Cannes Dress Black Abstract Print

Little Lizard King Cannes dress is becoming one of my favorites!  I made this version as per the directions with a woven fabric.  Making a size 12 with C bust.  The pattern is a little too big still but wearable around the house.  The bust dart needs to be lowered 1-1/2" (the girls aren't as high anymore).  I also lengthened the tier panels 3" each.

Nothing too exciting but it's a nice lightweight jersey fabric that makes a great Summer dress.  Matching and lining up the stripes was very tricky and took way longer than it should have.  But the dress is done and I'm glad I have another summer dress.

School started today.......it's a new adventure for us since it's the first time in 22 years we haven't had a child in public school.  No shopping for school clothes or supplies for us this year.  We should be rolling in the dough!  More money for fabric?

I'm off to sew something new!

Little Lizard King Cannes Dress Black Multi Print Knit

Summer is here and it's almost too hot for clothes!  Since clothing is NOT optional I made up this cute summer dress from Little Lizard King patterns.  The Cannes Dress is meant to be sewn in wovens but I used the tank portion from Love Notions Pattern Summer Basics and used the Little Lizard King Cannes skirt tiers.

I like how the dress turned out & think I will get a lot of summer wear from it.
